Fun Easter Traditions
Traditions are all about doing the same thing so you can look forward to the event again and again. It’s not only for you and your kids but your grandkids…and beyond. As your kids get older you may be realizing more just how important it is to spend time together. Take pleasure in starting some of these traditions with your family.
Memorable Easter Baskets
One way to spark your child’s anticipation. Every year, put together the same basket with a variety of different treats, colorful eggs, Aleia’s gluten free Coconut Macaroons, Chocolate Coconut Macaroons, and fun gifts. After Easter, hide it out of sight – and don’t forget to fill that same special and familiar basket to the brim every Easter!
Treats for the Easter Bunny
Get out some super yummy ingredients and put together a batch of magical Easter Bunny food. Mix together gluten-free pretzels, popcorn, jellybeans and M&Ms. Placed out before bedtime, they’re sure to delight the Easter Bunny.
Bunny Footprints
Draw or print out a set of oversized rabbit feet on a piece of paper. Cut them out and place them on the floor. Sprinkle flour or talcum powder around the edges. If you strategically place these all over the house, your child will be even more convinced the Easter Bunny was there!
Jellybeans in the Toilet – “oh no”
What’s sillier than finding out that the Easter Bunny had to use the potty while delivering your Easter basket?
Plant a Jellybean Garden
Together with your little ones, plant a handful of jellybeans in the dirt or in clay pots outside the night before. Replace each one with a lollipop while the kids sleep. In the morning, eyes will grow wide as they see each jellybean has grown into a magical lollipop treat!
With these fun ideas, you and your family will have many joyful traditions to look forward to each year.
Enjoy the season!
